Befrienders’ role will include helping to set up, to serve refreshments and more importantly to befriend those who may attend on any of ‘The Drop-in’ days.

ON-GOING INITIATIVES

As an ongoing initiative, the Community Ministry will continue to partner with other local churches and organisations to participate in the following ongoing initiatives:

  •  Ealing Soup Kitchen: ECC has been supporting Ealing Soup Kitchen (https://www.ealingsoupkitchen.org/) for many years long before 2005 when we formed a dedicated team to get more involved.

We have since then become one of the churches in the Ealing on the rota to provide food, fellowship and friendship to the largely homeless clients that attend.

This is a rewarding ministry and we always look forward to receiving new members to join the team.

If interested in getting involved, please contact Sharon on 020 8840 7508 or via email to info@ecc.org.uk

  • Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter: ECC will also continue to collaborate with 20 other local churches on the platform of the Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter (https://ecwns.org.uk/).

This platform is used to provide emergency shelter, cooked dinner and cooked breakfast to the homeless sleeping rough on the streets during winter months. More importantly, we offer the client-base companionship and friendship.

The charity works to combat poverty and hunger across the UK and provides three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people facing food crisis and who are referred by referring agents.
