Community

More than just building a church community, at ECC we strive to connect with our wider local community.

We organise therefore:

  • Little Stars, a baby and toddler playgroup on Tuesdays which parents and grandparents can attend with their young children for a social time with other local families.
  • Soup Kitchen and the Winter Night Shelter (see below for further details) programmes, in partnership with other local churches to provide love for the needy and the homeless
  • Christian Against Poverty (CAP), a debt advisory service

So, if you live within our local community, we invite you to benefit from any of these community programmes or simply come to enjoy the beauty of our Grade 2* Listed building.

Do contact us for more information on any of the above.

CHRISTIANS AGAINST POVERTY

www.capuk.org

CAP is passionate about releasing people from a life sentence of poverty, debt, unemployment and addiction. Working with the church we bring good news, hope and freedom to people in the UK.

ECC sponsor CAP each month to help fund the work they do throughout the UK.

ECC has been supporting Ealing Soup Kitchen for many years but in 2005 we formed a team to practically serve people within the community. We are one of several churches in the Ealing Borough that take part on a rotational basis, serving food to those in need. It is a wonderful and rewarding ministry and we love welcoming new members to our fun and dedicated team.

To volunteer, please contact Sherine or Sharon on 020 8840 7508 or via email to info@ecc.org.uk

WINTER NIGHT SHELTER

www.ecwns.org.uk

By partnering with 20 other local churches, ECC help to provide emergency dormitory style accommodation for up to 14 guests from those who are sleeping on the streets, are at immediate risk of rough sleeping locally and the ‘hidden homeless’.

On a designated night of the week, ECC opens its doors to the guests, and provides a hot meal, somewhere to sleep, breakfast and above all else, companionship and friendship.

It is an opportunity for us all to learn from each other, and also to meet with Christ himself. Jesus said, ‘Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ (Matthew 25 v 40).
