Discipleship Groups

Discipleship Pathway

Here at Ealing Community Church we believe that a disciple is someone who increasingly worships, listens, obeys and is transformed by Christ in all of life and teaches other to do the same.

We believe that Discipleship happens in three spaces large gatherings, smalls groups and one on one relationships.

Our small groups meet all over West London in homes, coffee shops, restaurants. These are most geographically based but also gather around common intrests.

We believe that these group will create a framework in which people will go deeper in the discipleship journey with Christ helping them to move around our discipleship pathway as the increasingly worship, listen, obey and are transformed in all of life. In order for that to happen we believe that these 9 element should be happening in each group. Baptisms, Leaders, God’s word, Love/care, Communion, Prayer, Generosity, Worship and Multiplication.

These times together are split into 3 sections:

Looking Back

1. Care: What’s been encouraging within the past week? What’s been challenging? What’s God been teaching you?
2. Review: look and study last weeks teaching and progress
3.Celebrate: Follow: How you have put into practice last week’s teaching
Fish: Stories of how you have shared gospel this week
Looking Up

1. Worship: Time spent praising and lifting the name of Jesus either through song, poetry or words
2. Communion: A moment where we break bread and remember the sacrifice that Jesus made for us
3. New Teaching: We gather around Word of God and reflecting, discussing on the teaching from the previous Sunday Sermon
Looking Forward

1. Practice: To reinforce the New Teaching and any tools shared, there will be time to practice what was learned about disciple-making
2. Plan: How will you follow and fish? Every week we will make a plan for following Jesus and fishing for men. Most weeks we will give you a fishing goal. Each week, consider: How do you feel prompted to grow in your relationship with Jesus this week? What is He calling you to do?
3. Prayer: Intercede for one another and your plans to follow & fish over the next week.
