Children’s Ministry
A dynamic kids’ ministry communicating God’s word through fun activities, music, games, creative Bible stories, interactive presentations, role plays, multimedia and much more! Kids have the awesome opportunity to participate through singing, leading their peers and serving other kids. At ECC we want every child to have a great experience at a Kids Connect group every single week.
Our BIG SIX Goals
1. For each child to have their own experience and friendship with Jesus. Talking to God through prayer and receiving answers when they pray. We want children to see the Bible come to life and get their imaginations going in a positive direction.
2. To create opportunities for children to serve and lead with a view of engaging with the main church.
3. Equipping parents to spiritually lead their children at every age and stage of child development, and partner with our team.
4. To create more opportunities for children to bring friends to events, and for ECC to be more relevant to the children within our locality.
5. To introduce children to Missional ideas and develop an understanding of ‘Church’ as a family of many nations.
6. To value and train those who currently work with our children and promoting our vision to inspire others to come alongside ECC Kids.
Baby Zone (Aged 0-18 MONTHS)
We have a cosy room for parents/carers and babies to chill. It is equipped with a LIVE video stream allowing adults to continue watching the service whilst keeping an eye on their babies. Within this area you’ll also find food warming facilities and a selection of toys for your child to enjoy.
Adventurers (Aged 18 MONTHS-4 years)
We have many great interactive toys for kids to play with. We also have singing and Bible stories taught in an age appropriate way. Our session leaders ensure your child is well looked after and don’t worry, if we need to alert you at any point during the session we will do so.
Explorers (Aged 5-7 years)
Each session includes Bible stories underpinned by fun arts or crafts. We ensure kids learn about the love of God through a variety of activities, and we encourage each child to develop a personal relationship with Jesus.
Pioneers (Aged 8-11 years)
Kids are encouraged to develop their knowledge and understanding of who Jesus is by exploring concepts such as Faith above circumstances, the Holy Spirit and Servant heartedness. All taught with age specifications in mind. Children are encouraged to attend regularly and bring their Bibles.

General Info
Kids Connect Groups begin at 10:30am every Sunday (during the service). For the benefit of all the children and the session leaders, registration will close at 11:00am. We would also ask that you arrive on time during this registration window. If you are having trouble finding a room, please ask one of our Stewards or any other member of staff who will be happy to help.
Additional Needs
We love and welcome all children here at ECC and our fantastic volunteers currently aim to integrate all children into our above-mentioned activities. We know that each child is unique, which is why we would love to partner with you as a parent, carer or even if
you are someone with a heart for such precious children, to develop this section of our Kids department. This is a fairly new area for us and we would be excited to hear from you! Please speak with the Children’s Ministry Coordinator, Sherine de Mel to get involved.
Safeguarding
Each of our dedicated volunteers have received Child Safety Training and have completed the relevant disclosure requirements. In addition to this, we also have a detailed check-in process for your Kids, which can be completed the first time that you visit. You will receive 2 printed stickers, one for your child and one for you to present to the class leader when you collect your child after the service. Please note that we cannot release children to anyone under 16 years of age.
